Detox Tea Keeps Hair Intact? by - Alice Hunter

Well, it sounds pretty hard to believe. Why would you even consider such a
claim? Here is one reason why you should re-evaluate your skepticism: one of the
ingredients in this detox tea is Burdock root. Burdock root is used in other
hair loss complexes, and it has a reputation among herbologists and Natural
healing apothecaries to detoxify the liver. %GOOGLEAD% It is included in these
prescriptions because Traditional Chinese Medicine draws a direct connection
between the function of the liver and healthy hair. According to the ancient
doctors of the Orient, first the liver must be cleansed, and then the new hair
growth begins.

Isn’t it amazing how cultures other than fast-food quick-fix America have
sought to address the cause first, and then benefit from the natural correction?
Somehow, we have forgotten the common sense of Cause and Effect.

Even if you are currently taking a prescribed drug to prevent hair loss, you
should try this tea three times a day, says author Mary Beth Jansen, who wrote
Naturally Healthy hair, published by Storey Books.

Traditional Chinese Medicine states that only when the kidneys are detoxified
can a healthy flow of nutrients reach the hair follicles and cause hair growth.

As a detoxifying treatment:

Drink one cup three times a day for 7-10 days, and one cup a day thereafter.
The idea is to flush the kidney of all impure elements and make it easier for
the nutrients to work upon the hair follicles. The Burdock root has been known
for as a hair growth stimulator. Other cultures in the Middle East have also
used Licorice has a hair growth stimulator.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 tablespoon burdock root
  • 1/2 tablespoon dandelion root
  • 1/2 teaspoon licorice
  • 1 1/2 cups purified water

Place herbs and water in a non-aluminum pot. Cover and bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain herbs. Licorice is not
recommended for use by pregnant women, people with edema, or those with high
blood pressure. It is wise to note that even natural herbal treatments often
have side effects that may cause discomfort. This particular herbal tea is to be
taken according to the directions above. When administering herbal treatments,
