What Could China Possibly Know About Male Pattern Hair Loss? by – Alice Hunter
Posted by: | CommentsYou might think that the Chinese are several steps behind the American doctors when it comes to inventing a solution to Hair Loss, Androgenetic Alopecia, which scientists in the Western world call genetic pattern hair loss.
%GOOGLEAD% It appears that the Chinese are finally catching up with American drug companies in offering highly effective hair loss solutions by different companies. But before you give your total allegiance to appearances, you need to know a few things.
Just because Chinese solutions, 100% natural, botanical in origin, have not been in the forefront of the media, does not mean they are ineffectual. Just because they have not been as highly popularized as laboratory medicines designed to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth, doesn?t mean they have not always been available to individuals in the know.
It turns out that the Chinese are not behind the pack at all; they have actually been way ahead for more than a few centuries!
Like their continental neighbors, the Middle Eastern Ayurvedic practitioners of India and Hindu practice, the Chinese have been using some form of herbal treatment for hair loss since the dawn of their civilization.
But it is true that even the ancient Chinese solutions of herbal mixtures are changing. Here is what is happening: no longer do the apothecaries of Traditional Chinese Medicine use only one type of angelica root and white peony root in effective extracts to treat hair loss. They are also beginning to combine unlikely botanical solutions to maximize the hair creation, regeneration, and strand power. The solutions they have put together in the past three years have proven just as 100% natural as the elixirs and reductions used in Ancient China– but they have proved 200% more effective than the earlier treatments.
Something incredibly open-minded and wonderful is happening in the world of contemporary Chinese medicine. The new Mds, physicians, and specialists are proving remarkably open to the Ancient Traditional herbal treatments, moreso than their American and European counterparts. This allows the New Chinese medicine to maintain the power and correctness of traditional Chinese medicine. And it also allows the new Chinese medicine to make advances using modern techniques of mixing and surprising herbal combinations.

Linus, DoYou Have a Problem With Hair Loss? by – Alice Hunter
Posted by: | CommentsIt is a blessed thing, that warm and fuzzy blanket that keeps all fear and paranoia at bay. Especially true in an era when even little five-year-olds speak openly of paranoia and reflect upon the day when they, too, may become as hairless as Great Uncle Raymond and Granddaddy Harvey. Well into adulthood, many of us carry around our own personal Linus blanket, which serves to protect us from most ugly truths. Ah, the hair is falling all around us, but we are in?DENIAL! %GOOGLEAD%
Who, me? You may ask the mirror. But pretty soon, before you become what is mercifully termed a ?post-adolescent,? you see the receding hairline. Soon, you will reach for a hand-mirror to see a reflection, looking for the future bald spot that might appear at the crown of your head.
It may not mean life and death: but how many of us have spent an entire hour each morning arranging and rearranging what hair we have left in an attempt to become somehow satisfied with our appearance, and to leave the privacy, and venture out into the cruel world?
Thousands. Not just tens, but hundreds of thousands. It is a human desire to look attractive, and there is no denying that thicker hair is more attractive than a rim of hair around the head. Some of us are pretty sure than even a rim of hair around the head is more attractive than no hair at all. Everyone who seeks a vibrant love life desires to appear sensually attractive and enter the dating game with confidence.
Feeling this way, how can you reconcile yourself with losing your hair? Here?s how: you only have to lose some hair. You can get treatments which save you from the baldness of Granddaddy Harvey. But you will have to toss that Linus blanket for a while, in order to ask for help from a professional hair care specialist.
Real solutions will be yours as soon as you surmise that too much hair is falling out. All of the effective treatments on the market today offer remarkable results. Some are some well known, and some herbal complexes are not so well advertised. The commercial products as well as the individually tailored herbal complexes, do not have the same effectiveness on everyone.
If you are ready to maintain the hair growth you still have– and perhaps to initiate new growth in thin areas– you should begin a treatment plan when your hair loss is in a mild to moderate stage.
The earlier the stage of hair loss, the quicker the recovery time will be for your thinning areas. It takes longer for the treatments to produce hair where it has not grown in a while. Your chances of thickening new growth to mature hair are greater if you can address the problem earlier than later.
Too many people experiencing hair loss, both men and women, are proverbial ostriches with their heads in the sand, especially during the early phases of pattern hair loss. But this is exactly when they stand to gain the most help from hair loss treatments!
Set up an appointment with your physician, or if you prefer non-toxic, natural treatments, your hair stylist will know of excellent solutions.
When she suggests a 100% natural hair loss solution, be sure to inquire about its success record. More than likely, the stylist will have several personal references of individuals who have greatly benefited from the treatment the salon is making available to you.
And when you begin the treatments and see the Good News, that your hair has stopped falling out, then you can re-attach yourself to your old fave, your Linus blanket, to know the real security that a successful hair loss treatment provides.

Dealing With Hair Loss? Coping Skills Save Achey-Breaky Hair by – Alice Hunter
Posted by: | CommentsIf the latest clinical trial studies are correct, pattern hair loss is
partially caused by stress and not 100% due to genetics. It took a long time for
any group of scientists to test the possible effects of stress on the loss of
hair, but they have finally done it.
%GOOGLEAD%
And an interesting thing is happening. Hard scientists, who base knowledge
upon findings of clinical trials, are proving what the Natural Herbologists and
Holistic treatment gurus have said all along.
Stress can cause you to lose your hair. And here is something else to
consider. The activities and interests on this list probably are not very high
on your list in your present state of disappointment over your hair loss. The
authors of this Anti-stress List believe that if you were already practicing the
following activities, you would be less stressed, and you would be losing
considerably less hair. They believe this is true even if you are experiencing
what the medical community calls Adrogenetic Alopecia, male and female pattern
hair loss.
The real benefit from following any of these ten directions will be
self-improvement and spiritual balance. And for many, achieving either of those
two smoothie advancements is more beneficial than stopping hair loss and causing
new hair to reappear.
Here are 10 things you should try to reduce stress:
- Get Religion. Seeking God’s help and finding comfort in talking to a
higher power brings calm. Sometimes the singular act of praying for stress
relief has brought peace. Oh yeah, we need to remind you: that kind of peace
cannot be bought or sold. It’s free. - Forgive Someone. Got a grudge? Let it go. Be the bigger person. Give
yourself a lesson on generosity and feel a big burden roll off your shoulders. - Sleep. Start a regular exercise routine, and then before going to bed,
take a soothing bath and try reading a light, sleep-inducing novel or book of
poetry. - Vacation. It doesn’t have to be a big trip to work its magic. Go across
the valley or the mountain and check out a park or a river. The best stress
relievers are nature’s four elements. Keep your eyes open for small, new
wonders. - Yoga. Especially designed to eliminate spiritual tension and bodily
stress, you simply cannot go wrong by taking a class of yoga. - Bubble Bath. Treat yourself to a satiny, steamy soak. Unwind. Give
yourself to the water, but don’t drown. There is too much fun to have in the
future. - Lighten your workload. Talk to your boss. And if it is impossible to make
any headway with your employer, and your work is the major cause of your
stress, you are not alone. You may want to look for another job. But whatever
you do, start keeping a little simple note list of five good things that
happen each day. Start looking for the good things that make you feel better
about your present situation. - Cup of Tea. Sit down for 5 minutes with your favorite hot beverage. Put
your feet up. Concentrate on staying mentally blank. Concentrate on easy
breathing. - Biofeedback. Actually, the best kind is getting a full body massage or
having a great pedicure and oil application. These are little treats you
should save up for. - Sex. That’s right, snuggle with your lovey or indulge in the act itself.
It has always been a stress reliever that should be a part of your active
life.
Will these things keep your hair intact? Maybe, maybe not. But as you begin
to seriously address your hair loss problem and begin applications or
medications to curtail the hair loss, you should adopt several of these Stress
busters into your daily life. Don’t just treat the symptoms, treat the cause as
well, says the holistic crowd.

A Sad Tale of Hair Loss – Dreaming of Big Foot by – Vanessa Rogers
Posted by: | CommentsMr. Rogers had a hard night. That is Eric, my husband. It started out wonderful yesterday afternoon. We saw a matinee, the latest version of King Kong, and we thought it was great. Big hairy ape, totally loveable, up against the evil modern world. We came home and ate dinner in front of the TV screen. I won out over Law and Order this time (coin-toss, I guess Mr. Rogers was feeling generous), and to our amazement, we ended up watching (and laughing at) the Animal channel. It was a big-to-do. Cat Show in New York City, Madison Square Garden, no less. Hell, we popped a bottle of champagne. It was a Competition for First Place in the entire domestic cat kingdom sort of thing. %GOOGLEAD%
We never watch anything like that, but we love the movie, ?Dog Show,? and sure enough, we could see that the star cats on display have it just like the star dogs. The competition is tough, and the road to the crown is a long and grievous Meeooow.
In the night, Eric dreamed of Big Foot. Actually, he dreamed he was Big Foot, and he liked it. He liked having that wild abundance of hair. It is true that he is losing some of his hair at 38 (he wants it back.)
Anyway, he dreamed he was Big Foot, and it was a great feeling, he said. He went to the river, to the hot springs, where he walked in below some steaming rapids. Nice. Everything was good. He bent down to see himself in the water, to know that he really was Big Foot. What he saw was not Big Foot. He was an Egyptian Hairless. The kind that never wins First Place in a cat show.
He woke up in the early morning, before daylight, mad as hell. Tricked. We had to get up out of bed, fix coffee and drink some of it before he really let go of the anger the dream caused.
Obviously, the dream came from where many dreams come, from something experienced in the everyday that somehow seeps into the subconscious and acts out down there.
A beautiful white Persian with dazzling emerald eyes, and the longest hair I have ever seen, won First place. The Egyptian Hairless didn?t even place. But it was a beauty show for cats, for heaven?s sake!
It got me to thinking, though. Do men who are losing their hair experience something like that?or a fear of not even placing? And did Eric?s dream voice a fear that he would be hairless, exiled to Egypt, and never come in First place again?
Then I wondered, do the cats really care who wins, like the people care, who become successful in the business world? Would anybody in the professional workforce really hold it against Eric, his lack of hair?
