The hairdresser will know what types of hair designs are low maintenance so that you don’t spend a lot of time on them.
Ideally, you as a customer should know what you want at least in a basic sense. You also should know how to take care of your hair or at least be willing to learn how to once you’ve been given direction. Be reasonable, too, because you may not be suitable for a certain style if it requires a lot of upkeep and you’re not ready for that type of time or money commitment.
